Guests may ride the same horse for their week at the ranch, exploring the meadows and mountains of the Apache Sitgreaves National Forest during morning and afternoon trail rides. First Time Riders to Experienced Horseman or Horsewoman
We raise and train our horses so we can fit our beginners and our experienced riders to the best horse for them. Our horseback rides are safe for all ages, and we do offer more challenging trails for the more experienced riders. Our rides vary from grassy meadows to picnic and swimming rides.
Famous Ranch Features
Our family has been running Sprucedale for over 70 years and we love doing it! We have second and third generation guests and are on our third generation of Wiltbanks' running the ranch. All enjoy coming to the ranch, but our specialty is families! Our western family dancing, hayrides, well trained horses, gymkhana rodeos, cow milking, bonfires, great home cooked food and beautiful mountain vistas keep our guests coming back year after year.
