First Time Riders/ Beginners
Elkhorn Ranch attracts the first time rider as well as the experienced rider! We find that the same features make Elkhorn work for both beginners and advanced riders. Small guided rides are organized individually to suit riders’ experience and interests. Beautiful and scenic Baboquivari Mountains and Altar Valley offer diverse terrain — many different lengths of rides, steep and gentle country.
For the Experienced Horseman or Horsewoman
Riders use the same horse and saddle all week so that they can become comfortable and confident — unless things aren’t working, in which case we make changes! The ranch is home to friendly, sure-footed ranch raised horses that live here year round.
Famous Ranch Features
