In Depth

Crossogue Equestrian Camps are run by the Molloy family, who have been involved with horses for five generations. This working Irish horse farm welcome riders ages 11 to 18 for equestrian training camps. For over 25 years, young riders have been a central part of Crossogue during the summer. There were six children in the Molloy family and today the summer camps are just like they experienced with their friends.

Unaccompanied teenage riders enjoy a horse camp that helps them to improve their riding skills, make new friends and build confidence as they enjoy life on this stunning Irish farm, located in Tipperary. Teens receive expert instruction carefully designed to match their individual ability. Top notch horses and ponies are available for all levels of rider and each guest has their own for the duration of their stay, allowing them to nurture a bond and the confidence to develop their riding skills.

During the summer, Crossogue Equestrian is geared specifically for younger visitors. Many teen riders return year after year to Crossogue's summer equestrian camps. Riders stay in the lovely Georgian period Family House, surrounded by the beautiful farm and woodland offering both freedom and space in a clean and healthy environment. Guests that arrive and depart on Saturdays at Dublin Airport as close to midday as possible will be picked up by Crossogue for transfer to the farm.

Crossogue is approved by Association of Irish Riding Establishments (A.I.R.E.), British Horse Society and Failte Ireland, the Irish branch of the North American Tourism Ireland, charged with promoting Ireland to travelers.

Other Camp Activities

Campers enjoy a variety of activities in addition to horseback riding, including tennis, badminton, croquet and billiards. Movies are shown in the evenings before lights out. Campers from outside of Ireland or non English speaking countries, may enjoy English language courses from Crossogue's approved Language school.

Each Sunday Crossogue Equestrian takes teenage guests on an excursion to a place of interest, so they can get to know a little more of Ireland. It also gives those who have just arrived the day before, a chance to get to know the other guests and feel at home.
