Bliss Creek Outfitters' camp is located 22 miles into the Washakie Wilderness adjoining the southeastern boundary of Yellowstone National Park. The trek requires an eight hour Horse or Mule ride. Once in camp, the vacation is yours to plan. Your group can do things together everyday or split up and do a multitude of things on your trip. You can go fishing, hiking, sightseeing, play horseshoes, sit by the campfire at night and much more.
While in camp, you will enjoy family-style meals for breakfast and dinner. For lunch you can either stay in camp or take a sacklunch with you on your daily wilderness trek. Riders can also enjoy packing schools and lessons. Tim Doud, has been guiding Wilderness enthusiast for nearly 25 years and has been training horses and mules for 15 of those 25 years. In 2006, Tim took his training to a professional level and became the first person to successfully graduate from the John Lyons Certification Program using only Mules. This program teaches all aspects of training horses and mules, from riding a Mule for the first time, to teaching a Mule to perform advanced maneuvers.
