Steamboat Springs, often called Ski Town USA, has produced over 70 winter Olympians and the 2010 Nordic Combined Silver Medal Team, making it a great place to learn to ski on a cross-country ski vacation or for more advanced skiers.

Riding through powdery snow! Home Ranch maintains some winter trails for horseback riding and year-round, guests have plenty of trails from which to choose. The Home Ranch takes guests riding in the vast Routt National Forest, which totals over 1.1 million acres.
Guests at The Home Ranch can join morning sleigh rides to feed the ranch's herd of around one-hundred horses, many of whom have been raised on the ranch.

Home Ranch has 20 miles of private cross-country, skate, and snowshoe trails. Guests can ski into the national forest as well.
