One of the best parts of filming this travel TV special on horseback riding ranches across the United States was talking to many old time dude ranchers and hearing about the history of these classic dude ranches, much of which is unpublished.

I write the Trail Rider column for True West magazine as well, so I'm constantly meeting interesting people, who share these wonderful stories that you can't read about online or in the library, because it's not published.

When you watch Equitrekking Great American Ranches, you'll meet Ken Neal, whose family owns T Cross Ranch outside of the Western town of Dubois. Ken talks about the old time Jackson Hole dude ranches where the Rockefellers, Duponts and other famous American travelers ventured to experience adventure, and the special guests who return year after year to his ranch.

There is something special about this chapter in American history and the many dude ranches that are still open to the public to share this history today.

Watch Equitrekking Great American Ranches today on a Create TV at 9:30am, 3:30pm and 9:30pm EST.
